The Mercedes-Benz A-Class uses dual-clutch transmission on many modern automatic versions, but the unit fitted changes with engine, generation and performance or hybrid specification. A W176 7G-DCT and a later W177 8G-DCT therefore should not be diagnosed as interchangeable gearboxes.
