The BMW X1 changed from the rear-wheel-drive-based E84 platform to later front-wheel-drive-based generations, bringing a very different automatic gearbox mix with it.
Older X1s can use six- or eight-speed conventional automatics, while the latest U11 family uses seven-speed double-clutch transmission across many versions. xDrive and plug-in hybrid models add further driveline interaction.

X1 codes are interpreted with generation and powertrain data. DCT clutch/mechatronic values, conventional automatic pressure information and xDrive/hybrid faults are not interchangeable.
