The Mercedes-Benz M-Class/ML moved from 5G-Tronic in the W163 generation to 7G-Tronic in W164 and 7G-Tronic Plus across much of W166 before the model was renamed GLE. Most UK automatic ML models also combine the transmission with 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
